Howard Heyl

Howard and Marie have attended the Algonac Church of Christ for over 15 years. Howard is a graduate of Oakland University and received his Masters from Central Michigan. Howard and Marie have two grown children (Jonathan and Kara).

Iain Avers

Iain has attended the Algonac Church of Christ his entire life. His service on the board began in 1988 as a Deacon and has continued serving since 2004 as an Elder. His greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife Pam and their two children: Shayla and Thomas. Iain also enjoys playing hockey, boating, hunting, kayaking and helping with local high school sport events. 

Mark Bassham

Born and raised in Tennessee, Mark Bassham has lived in Michigan for over four decades and has been a devoted member of the Algonac Church of Christ for years. Mark worked for Ford Motors prior to retiring, and now devotes much of his time to overseeing our church’s ministry to seniors and evangelistic missions.  Mark lives in Marine City with his wife, Maggie. Mark & Maggie have four children and several grandkids and great-grandkids.

Bob and Kim have attended the Algonac Church of Christ for over 25 years. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Bob is a graduate of Wayne State University. They have three grown sons  Bobby, Michael and Daniel and three granddaughters Briella, Gracie and Annabelle. 

ACOC BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Algonac Church of Christ has a board of directors which meets to approve major decisions and address financial matters. The board consists of the elders, deacon, senior pastor, church treasurer, and elected trustees. The board meets one Wednesday evening a month to review and address essential church business. Meetings are open to the congregation and any member of the church is welcome to attend.
